A.C.R. Messina Futsal is the calcio a 5 side of Associazioni Calcio Riunite Messina, playing its home matches on the parquet of the PalaLaganà at Montepiselli.
The club competes in Serie A2 Élite, Girone B — the level immediately below Serie A in the Italian futsal pyramid — after winning Girone D of Serie A2 in May 2026 and going up for the first time in the city's history.
The organisation behind it has run federal sport across the province for years: football, futsal, a scuola calcio and skating, alongside the multi-year mandate for the Montepiselli sports complex, which the club has been rebuilding from the inside out. Since the arrival of the Racing City Group it has sat under the same giallorosso crest as the first team, the women's side and the youth sector.

Where it
began
Messina Futsal grew out of a multi-sport association on the Strait, climbed the national divisions one at a time, and reached Serie A2 Élite in 2026.
Built out of
Montepiselli
Messina Futsal has run federal sport in the province for years across several disciplines — football, futsal, the scuola calcio, inline and artistic skating — under president Fabrizio Caratozzolo.
The club holds the multi-year mandate for the Montepiselli sports complex and has been restructuring the facility throughout, turning the PalaLaganà into a home for the first team, the Under 19 and the football school alike.
From there the first team worked up through Serie B and Serie A2, reaching the national stage while continuing to bring its own youth-sector players into the senior squad.
Promotion to A2 Élite
Winners of Girone D with 35 points, 80 goals and the best goal difference in the group — a first for futsal in the city.
Coppa Italia Final Four
Qualified for the Serie A2 Final Four at the PalaTriccoli in Jesi after knocking out Marsala 2012 and Mazara 2020.

The Racing City Group's arrival brought a change of name and a squad rebuild ahead of the club's first A2 Élite season.

Messina Futsal is founded as a sports association running federal activity across several disciplines — football, futsal, the scuola calcio, inline and artistic skating — led by president Fabrizio Caratozzolo.
Montepiselli and the national game
The club takes on the multi-year mandate for the Montepiselli sports complex and begins restructuring it, while the first team competes in the national Serie B championship.
Into Serie A2
Promotion carries Messina into Serie A2, Girone D, with the PalaLaganà hosting national fixtures and an Under 19 side running alongside the first team.
Champions, and a Final Four
Messina top Girone D on the final day with 35 points and 80 goals, and reach the Coppa Italia Serie A2 Final Four in Jesi after eliminating Marsala 2012 and Mazara 2020.

With the Racing City Group on board the club takes the A.C.R. Messina name and crest, rebuilds the squad around international signings and its own graduates, and starts its first Serie A2 Élite campaign in Girone B.
